Who are we?

We are a newer church (re)exploring ways authentic Christianity can be lived out in our commnuities.  We echo the words of Rick McKinley, "Every person, no matter how battered by life, is created in the image of God."  Water City exists to tell this good news story and invite others into relationship with Jesus.  Not because we feel we've got it totally figured out (we don't), but because we're convinced that it's worth pursuing.

Water City began in the Fall of 2007 as a new church plant, affiliated with the Assemblies of God. Yet we're not your typical (whatever that means) A/G church. But it does mean that we recognize the importance of a greater fellowship of churches that are joined together for such important things as missions, theological training and a common trajectory in regards to God at work in the world around us.
